Company Background

PrintedPencil.co.uk is an Ad-Options Group company, originally established in 2010. 

Advertising Print & Promotional Options (Ad-Options for short) was founded on 1^st June 1985 by Steve and Ann Ward. They started by selling advertising space in BT phone boxes and added sell-on sales of print and promotional products. The company’s decision to move fully to print and promotional merchandise came when BT decided to develop the 15-year advertising “trial” in-house. Fortunately for Ad-Options, this came just as the mobile phone took off in the UK and phone boxes quickly went out of use.

In 2001, Ad-Options Ltd commissioned its first website, BusinessGiftUK.com.

In 2006, a second niche website was commissioned. BlankKeyrings.co.uk was developed as an e-commerce site, specialising in bulk distribution of UK manufactured, transparent acrylic products, including keyrings, fridge magnets and coasters.  The success of the blank key rings online sales led to another e-commerce site, LoopKeyrings.co.uk. This dedicated site for the sale of promotional Ad Loop key rings became ranked number one in Google searches within 3 months of launch. Further niche sites followed with PrintedPencil.co.uk in 2010 and Brite-MatMouseMat.co.uk in 2011.

In 2018, following independent marketing advice, we decided to integrate our PrintedPencil.co.uk site within our refreshed BusinessGiftUK.com website. Unfortunately, over time, this move proved to be detrimental to the printed pencils business.

So, in 2023, the decision was taken to reinstate the niche PrintedPencil website, relaunching in February 2024.  The new site is fully focussed on offering great value promotional pencils that do not cost the Earth. Printed pencils are a winning combination of low-cost, great value, convenient, practical and environmentally friendly promotional products!
